Commentary
So impressed with the rehearsed precision of this a capella number. When I visited for the 125th, I think it was Bill G who explained that there are no longer “all members” rehearsals as there used to be because of changes to how classes are scheduled. Instead, members attend the rehearsals they can, with a minimum number of hours per month (or something like that), and there is a reliance on providing members with recordings of their sections’ parts & lyrics/notation so they can prepare on their own. That takes a lot of discipline and commitment, but it obviously works when you listen to the performance quality here. |
