Commentary
I believe this is a Kitty Campbell arrangement, new for the ‘88-89 year of the GC. We spent a lot of time at camp working this one up, and it was obviously well rehearsed by the time of this recording. I think this first year of performing the arrangement may be the best because of how well rehearsed it was AND also because I think Gary Branson (a great jazz pianist) was inspired by the tune and gave great performances on the keys, and audiences just love the whole package. Kudos to Kitty on the arrangement; if you listen closely, you will hear several cool little touches she put in there. |
