Commentary

This song by Todd Miller was among the recordings sent to the ‘88 new men… seems like the quality was better than this one, so it would be great for someone to find it (maybe on the New Collegians tape?). Anyway, this solo by Todd just impressed me so much that summer of ‘88… one of the best vocal solos I’d ever heard in my life. I listened to it a bunch of times, inspired & excited to get to GC camp & Purdue.

Mack Schultz is the soloist.

@PHutch, Mack would’t make sense for the 1987 timeframe, would it?

I retract the comment, That would have been ‘67, my mistake. Please remove it.

Was in Club when Todd solo’d this.  I could listen to Todd Miller sing all day (and laugh at his goofy jokes 😊)!  What a talent!

That’s great! It’s been a popular song over the decades; consider this search a evidence:

I’m with you Chrisrin…I remember getting that package of recordings the summer of our freshman year (1988) and being honored to have been accepted but intimidated as all get out by the likes of A. Todd M., Neil W. and Wes T.! You all really inspired us! And need us not forget the adage…“The applause you hear running on to the stage is for all of those men who have come before you”...hence the importance to always honor the history, the traditions and the music that now spans over 125 years! What a Brotherhood!
