Description:
Gospel quartet did a couple shows like this back in 1993. It provided an opportunity to share more of their rehearsed repertoire than usual glee club shows. Chris Clarke had a few gospel solos as well, and audiences really loved him, so he joined the quartet on the trip to Mexico, Indiana. The members in 1993 were Alan Morrison (bass), Chris Rininger (baritone), Jonas Miller (2nd tenor), and David Blomenberg (1st tenor). This show took place at the home church of the quartet's 2nd tenor who graduated the year before, Jeff Tilden. Jeff subs in for Jonas on one of the songs.

Commentary
The only quartet tune I can think of that we did not sing that day is “I promised the lord that I would hold out…” I’m not sure a recording exists of that one. We did perform it when we visited Bog’s former church (New Faith) up in Chicago, but I don’t believe that was recorded (we sang just two or three songs in service). Glad to archive & share this unique PVGC specialty performance.
