Remembering Larry Rothenberger, class of 1969 1947 - 2024 Obituary  |
Welcome!
The PVGCDB began as a way to enjoy the archival recordings that were distributed at the 125th weekend. It now serves as a fun way to browse and interact with material from all decades, using a Wikipedia-style interface for visitors interested in collaborating.
This website provides an interface for browsing and searching through decades of recordings. Performance audio is organized by director, era, year, genre, tag, lyrics, commentary, etc. And like IMDB or Wikipedia, registered users may help edit and maintain the content.
We invite PVGC members and fans from all generations to help name, categorize, tag, or simply listen to recordings to improve the content on the site. A contribution of simply naming a soloist on a particular recording, or splitting audio tracks from an entire performance will help keep the database fresh and interesting for all users.
A brief introduction of a few of the features on this site:
- Songs
- Shuffle songs (A very popular feature - plays a random track from the database)
- Search (by era, director, type, tag)
- List By Title
- List By Collection
- Upload: Contribute your own content
- Logged-in members have access to:
- Custom member profile page
- Online tools to volunteer, edit and contribute
- Add tags, lyrics, song notes and commentary
- Volunteer overview chart: help us fill in the gaps!
- Editors (a higher level of access)
- Additional level of access to moderate content, create collections of recordings, specifying era, director, genre, etc
- Overview of Editor features
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Paul

Great framework for an archive. I’m yearning for more recordings from 91-93 (I graduated 93). It seems like we were recording almost every show to DAT back then. I wonder if Jeff Tilden might not have some recordings. Bog also used to.

I’m thrilled to see this. I’m looking forward to hours of enjoyable music from my favorite singing groups. I hope all the PMO groups are represented.

Was listening to Ron Walz singing “I Wish You Love and remembered Rhonda and me discovering Ron performing with The New Christy Minstrels. We had a good time catching up with him.

I’ve been trying to locate the lyrics to “Boilermaker Betty” for some time, now. I’m mostly interested in the first line (Boilermaker Betty is ??????????). Most of that line is not clear on the recording.
Any suggestions where I can find the lyrics would be greatly appreciated.
