Happy New Year from PVGCDB; renditions of Auld Lang Syne
It’s been great connecting with everyone this year: beta testers, audio submitters, soloist-namers, year-fixers, editors, correctors, and contributors!
It seemed appropriate to close out the year with, what else? Music!
Fortunately there are a few versions of Auld Lang Syne to choose from.
- 1964, End of Season Auld Lang Syne
- 1965 (or so) from studio recording Program 6. Auld Lang Syne
- 1968, End of Season Auld Lang Syne
- 1973, Al Stewart Swan Song (fades after 15 seconds; poignant end to that great collection/performance) Auld Lang Syne
- 2001, Christmas Show, (Ashleigh Duchene) Christmas Auld Lang Syne from our partner site PMODatabase.com
- 2003, Christmas Show (Beach Boys arrangement) Auld Lang Syne
Which version is your favorite? I’m partial to the EOS 1964 version (and I have a hard time voting against The Beach Boys!)
Wishing you a safe and happy 2022!
Paul
