Gala Week, 1961

The 1961 Gala Week was a fine performance featuring a collaboration with the Purduettes (and the Purduette Trio!) Al recognizes graduates from prior decades, including those that graduated before 1911.

Notable is Al Stewart cackling and guffawing for a solid 45 seconds from on-stage antics, as well as the Griffiths Brothers performing 3 original tunes. From the Exponent article:

“But pity the poor individual who was longing to slip out for a smoke, drink of water et cetera, who was deprived of his chance to take a break during the entertainment. No intermission was granted him.”

Al supports this with his desire to keep the performance moving and always-entertaining. Mission accomplished!
